A: Montessori East is a five min drive away. Explore School is a ten min drive away. Eastend Prep is a five minute walk to school, or one minute drive. The school playground is also open to the public during non-school hours, for a neighborhood playground. Dalewood United Methodist on Ridgecrest is in the process of developing a neighborhood playground on our street.
Q: What drew you to the town?
A: It’s just outside of downtown Nashville yet feels like a community. We really liked the diversity of people from all walks of life, who embrace each other and want to build a community, not just a neighborhood. We know all of our neighbors and everyone stops to talk while walking their dogs or going on a bike ride. Everyone looks out for each other and is willing to help each other when needed. We are close to Shelby Park and frequently bike there, per the Shelby Greenway, to enjoy the playground or the nature park and nature center with all the events they host for children and grown-ups, alike (jazz on the lawn, star-gazing with the observatory, nature hikes, ect.) The nature playground is a must if you have children. It’s a great neighborhood with plenty of local shops and restaurants close by. There are no big chain stores- all local, all original.
