Living Room

This living room makes an outstanding first impression of 1400 Russell St. Hardwood floors and a neutral wall color set the tone of this cozy space. Meanwhile, the rustic fireplace and ceiling beam contrast beautifully with the modern light fixture and recessed lighting. And the surrounding windows fill the room with natural daylight. Whether enjoying a cup of coffee and a good book or conversations with friends, this living room provides a lovely setting.

Kitchen

The kitchen is not lacking in storage and countertop space. And the overall size of the room is conducive for preparing substantial meals for large gatherings. The backdoor and window over the sink provide natural light, and the fun light fixture in the center of the room offers additional lighting. Since it is an eat-in kitchen, there is even plenty of space to enjoy a casual meal with the family.

Master Bedroom 1

This lovely master bedroom is on the first floor of the house. A beautiful light fixture and recessed lighting brighten the neutral wall colors and hardwood floors. Two closets provide ample storage space, and a quaint nook creates the perfect area for a dresser. This master suite also offers an adjoining master bathroom. An elegant light fixture, dual vanities, and a combination shower and bathtub provide just the right amenities for a homeowner or guest.

Master Bedroom 2

The master bedroom on the second floor is easily the most unique room in the house. Even the bedroom door offers a glimpse of the distinctive qualities, with a stained glass window and stained glass transom window. Just through the door, the vaulted ceiling and impressive arrangement of the lights create a warm, inviting atmosphere. And neutral wall tones with painted brick accents fill the room with rustic elegance. The stunning master bathroom offers its own set of deluxe qualities. The subway tile, oval mirrors, dual shower heads, and elegant dual vanities provide exceptionally luxurious amenities for the owner or overnight guest.

Here’s What The Current Owners Have To Say:

Q: What do you love about your current home?

A: Four-square house with Victorian Characteristics. The spa shower in the master bath is amazing—a true retreat with exceedingly high ceilings. Original heart of pine flooring, original exposed brick fireplace. Stained glass windows and transoms, glass door knobs.

Q: What drew you to your current home originally?

A: Large picture window and stained glass transoms. Large backyard, large deck. Huge basement to use as an exercise gym, playroom. Location to activities such as the Tomato Festival, downtown Nashville and school zoned priority for Lockeland.

Q: Where do you love to eat?

A: 5 Points Pizza is my favorite place to eat. Margot's is my go-to for "date night" with my husband or for taking friends to dinner; Butcher and Bee is great for local and sustainable dining. Coffee: hard to choose Frothy Monkey and Bongo Java are both phenomenal. The pharmacy is my go to for burgers and Sweet 16th Bakery for all of my sweet cravings. Maru Sushi is 2 blocks away—fabulous.

Q: Where do you love to shop?

A: The Fatherland District is 2 blocks away: features multiple clothing stores, Food/restaurants, Salons, yoga, waxing, pet food/supply store; Olive and Sinclair Chocolate Company; Turnip Truck local organic/whole food Grocery.

Q. What drew you to the town?

A:Nashville is The Country Music Capital, but we are named Music City for a reason and it is not all country music. You can catch amazing bluegrass/rock/electro and be blown away. The Nashville/Schermerhorn Symphony Center performs year-round downtown. Outdoor grassy venue Ascend Amphitheater features bands that span the spectrum and is a great place to spend a warm summer evening. The Belcourt independent theatre spouts new and vintage films; Universities such as Vanderbilt, Lipscomb, Belmont and many more call this city their home. The medical care is exceptional and patients come from far and wide to get superb care in Nashville's hospitals. On a Saturday it is highly possible to see celebrity actresses running in the local parks, famous musicians picking up a guitar at the infamous Bluebird Cafe or coveted athletes spotted at local hot spots. We are happy and friendly and courteous. Southern pride was born here in Tennessee and Nashvillians take it seriously. Don't be surprised if people smile, open doors for you, help you with groceries or just spark a conversation-Nashville is known for its hospitality.
