Kitchen and Dining Area

The main floor of 2024 Big Oak Drive features an inviting, open-concept living space. Vaulted ceilings stretch across the living area and seem to enlarge the room. A beautiful galley kitchen rests to the left of the main living space. Deep blue cabinetry and light countertops run along both sides of the kitchen, offering ample space for meal preparations. The open shelving, a gas stove, and a cooktop range present a chic, modern style.

Just a few steps from the kitchen, the dining area is waiting to host family dinners and meals with friends. An industrial-style chandelier hangs in the center of the room, while the bay windows offer a view over the front landscaping. This dining room would make a lovely backdrop for a quiet dinner for two or a family-style meal.

Living Room

The deep blue accent wall and clean, white mantle are natural focal points within the living room. Daylight floods the room and provides a welcoming atmosphere for guests and residents alike. The size of this space is also suitable for small gatherings with friends or game nights spent with the whole family.

Primary Bedroom

The primary bedroom features a gorgeous accent wall, tying in the deep blue tone of the main living spaces. White walls and an elegant tray ceiling open the space and add an element of sophistication. Beautiful french doors open to the back patio and draw natural light into the room.

This primary bedroom connects to a private bathroom. Two separate vanities, a walk-in closet, and a combination shower and bathtub create excellent amenities to complete the primary suite.

The Basement (Mother-in-Law Suite)

The basement within 2024 Big Oak Drive features substantial space that could serve as a mother-in-law suite or an Airbnb. The flex room features a murphy bed that functions as a desk by day and a pull-down bed for guests at night. A bedroom and separate full bathroom complete this basement space and provide the perfect area for renters or overnight guests. This basement is an advantageous quality within the home, whether the homeowners use this space as an investment or just a comfortable private area for the family.

Here’s What The Current Owners Have To Say:

Q: What do you love about your property?

A: We love the big yard with room for the kids to play, climb trees, practice soccer, play in the creek, and play on the playground. We also love the bay window, gas stove, open family room, and kitchen. The downstairs living area and Murphy bed that doubles as a desk have been great for hosting family and guests. We also love seeing deer and all the different kinds of birds. We love the French doors in the master bedroom that open up to the back patio, and we love that I can see all the stars at night.

Q: What drew you to your property originally?

A: The beautiful big yard, the trees, the neighborhood, and the location all drew me to the home. I also love that it’s in Spring Hill, and I love the layout of the home.

Q: Where do you love to eat?

A: We love to visit restaurants in the Historic Downtown Columbia Public Square. We visit venues in both Spring Hill and Columbia. For Mexican food, we like La Villa and La Superior. For Mediterranean food, we go to Music City Gyros. When we want pizza, we visit Viking. Jumbo House is great for burgers. Jonathan’s is our pick for American food. Chick Fil-a is our choice for fast food. BBB, Grecian Pizzeria, and First Watch are great breakfast spots. Fainting Goat is a great local coffee shop.

Q. Where do you love to shop?

A: The Crossings in Spring Hill and the CoolSprings Galleria Mall are great shopping locations. For groceries, we go to Kroger and Aldi.

Q: What can you tell me about your neighborhood?

A: It’s friendly and peaceful. We have annual neighborhood events at the lake hosted by the HOA. We often walk down to Oak Lake to enjoy the scenery. We really enjoy walking to the lake, fishing, and canoeing. It’s the best neighborhood I’ve ever lived in. People’s homes are well-kept, the hills and trees are beautiful, and the only people driving in our neighborhood live here. The neighborhood Facebook page is actually really helpful for any questions. It’s also easy to get to Spring Hill and Columbia from here.

Q: Is there anything else you would like to add about the schools or the area where you live?

A. It is a serene spot but is still close to Spring Hill, Columbia, and Franklin. We have had a great experience at Battle Creek schools. My kids have enjoyed school sports, band, yearbook, and FCA. The administration and staff have been supportive and communicative. I’ve been a teacher and coach at the middle school since it opened four years ago. They are building the high school right now on the same piece of property as the elementary and middle school. It will be ready in the summer of 2024. The school grounds are 2.5 miles away.

Q. What drew you to the town?

A: Spring Hill is beautiful with its big trees and rolling hills. We enjoy being close to so many hikes and waterfalls. We like that we are able to be at the beach or the mountains in just half a day. The community is friendly and has all the shopping we need while still maintaining a smaller town feel. It has everything you need, and the people are friendly. It has lots of restaurants. We also love being able to get to Columbia easily too. We like to go walking around downtown Columbia too.
